At Selfish Customs, we create bespoke, colour-led furniture and objects for residential, hospitality and retail interiors. Working closely with interior designers, we build distinctive pieces that become focal points within a space. From statement furniture and feature installations to custom objects and sculptural details, we help bring individuality, personality and visual impact to every project.

Founded by Jess Walters and Joe Kirton, our studio combines expertise in colour, material development and specialist fabrication. We're particularly passionate about helping designers use colour in bold, thoughtful and unexpected ways, creating pieces that feel unique to both the project and the client. Whether developing a bespoke finish, exploring new materials or creating something entirely one of a kind, we enjoy finding creative solutions that go beyond standard manufacturing.

Our approach is shaped by our complementary backgrounds. Jess has spent years fabricating work for internationally recognised artists and designers, while Joe's background in TV animation and model making brings a strong understanding of form, prototyping and problem-solving. Together, we combine creative thinking with practical making expertise to help designers realise ideas.

We see ourselves as collaborators, not just suppliers. From early conversations through to fabrication and installation, we work closely with designers to create beautifully crafted pieces that balance creativity, function and buildability.
